Day 1
Fly to Kigoma – Boat Transfer to Gombe Stream National Park

Your safari begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Dar es Salaam, followed by a scheduled flight to Kigoma on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to the lakeside for a scenic boat journey along the crystal-clear waters to Gombe Stream National Park.

After arriving at your lodge, check in and enjoy a full-board stay surrounded by pristine nature. In the evening, take a relaxing beach walk along Lake Tanganyika and witness a spectacular sunset over one of Africa’s deepest and oldest lakes.

Day 2
Chimpanzee Trekking in Gombe Forest

After an early breakfast, set out on your first chimpanzee trekking experience accompanied by experienced park rangers. Follow forest trails in search of Gombe’s famous chimpanzees as you observe their social behavior, feeding habits, and interactions in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, return to the lodge for relaxation or opt for a guided walk to the beautiful Kakombe Waterfall. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to soak in the peaceful surroundings of the park.

Second Chimpanzee Trek & Jane Goodall Legacy Experience

Boat Transfer to Kigoma – Fly Back to Arusha / Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, depart Gombe by boat and return to Kigoma, enjoying your final views of Lake Tanganyika along the way. Upon arrival, transfer to Kigoma Airport for your scheduled flight back to Arusha or Dar es Salaam, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or onward destination.
